The Nigerian minister for information, Lai Mohammed, has come under fire after he expressed that the Senegalese Jollof Rice is better than the Nigerian Jollof rice.
During an interview with Richard Quest, the CNN reporter and host of Quest Means Business, Mohammed was asked which African country makes the best Jollof rice.

The minister responded and said: �I will probably say Senegal.�
Lai Mohammed says Senegalese rice is better than Nigerian Jollof rice
It is a common Knowledge that Nigerians are very sensitive about our Jollof rice and we believe it is the best in all of Africa.

Nigerians who were disappointed and heartbroken by the statement made by a minister of Nigeria expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

However, Richard Quest defended Mohammed saying that the minister had misunderstood his question.
Quest further said the minister thought he asked which country first created the Jollof Rice.
